The almighty, sought after collector’s edition. Whether it be giving out some dust collecting trinkets, some exclusive artwork or some downloadable content, we’re all suckers for Collector’s Editions for amazing games aren’t we?

Well prepare to open your wallet a little wider as one of next years most anticipated games just announced it’s got a collector’s edition too, that’s right, Bioshock Infinite took to twitter today to announce the new edition.

Actually, they announced 2 editions, the Ultimate Songbird Edition, and the Premium Edition. And here’s what they’ll get you!

Ultimate Songbird Edition ($149):

  1. Songbird Statue
  2. Art of Columbia (64 page artbook)
  3. Handyman Figure (for Bioshocks new upcoming board game!)
  4. Lithograph
  5. Murder of Crows Keychain
  6. Digital Soundtrack
  7. Upgrade Pack (3 added abilities, BullRush, Extra Extra, and Betrayer)
  8. Xbox360 – Special downloadable costumes, PS3 + PC Bioshock Infinite Themes

Premium Edition ($79):

  1. Art of Columbia (64 page artbook)
  2. Handyman Figure (for Bioshocks new upcoming board game!)
  3. Lithograph
  4. Murder of Crows Keychain
  5. Digital Soundtrack
  6. Upgrade Pack (3 added abilities, BullRush, Extra Extra, and Betrayer)

Lately we’ve had a huge influx of AC3 info flowing in and we’re not going to complain at all! Today we have 3 special editions bound for Europe to show you.

Now Ubisoft has confirmed that these editions are strictly for Europe so collector’s editions for North America have still yet to be announced (but we’re hoping it’s similar to these!!)

Without further ado, here are the 3 different editions:

Freedom Edition (Collectors Edition) – £79.99 on consoles and £59.99 on PC

  • 9-inch Connor figure
  • George Washington’s Notebook
  • Special Lithograph
  • 2 single player missions (Ghost of War, Lost Mayan Ruins)
  • Sharpshooter Multiplayer Pack (new character, sharpshooter weapon, one relic, one emblem, one special picture and the jester title
  • Steelbook Case

Join or Die Edition (Special Edition) – £64.99 on consoles and £34.99 on PC

  • Single Player Mission (Ghost of War)
  • George Washington’s Notebook
  • Connor’s Medallion
  • Sharpshooter Multiplayer Pack (new character, sharpshooter weapon, one relic, one emblem, one special picture and the jester title
  • Different packaging

 

Special Edition (Regular Edition) – Price not announced yet

  • Single Player Mission (A Dangerous Secret)
  • Unlocked Flint Musket

While these have only been announced for Europe so far Ubisoft has assured us they’ll reveal North American details soon so keep watch here and we’ll keep you informed!!

THQ has just announced that they will be releasing a collectors edition of its upcoming game Darksiders II and that all existing pre-orders will be upgraded to the new Limited Edition copy of the game.

The new Limited Edition of Darksiders II comes with an extra downloadable content “Argul’s Tomb,” as “the game’s first single-player downloadable content pack.” It also states that the Limited Edition voucher can be used “once [the DLC] becomes available,” implying that it may not be released on day-one.

The collector’s edition will include the newly announced Limited Edition plus some extra goodies like:

  • a replica life sized Death Mask
  • Unique in game armour and weapon set with enhanced skills
  • the official digital soundtrack
  • and a hardcover art book
All this can be had for $99 and will be available in the US, Canada and Europe.

A quick update to the BestBuy Mobile page is showing the Galaxy S II is now available for pre-order in stores, all you have you do it stop by your local store and drop $50 to secure your Super Phone when they arrive. How many of you will be rushing out to grab this one on launch day? We’ll be getting one soon enough and we’ll give you all a full hands on review, as well next week we’re attending a special Samsung launch party for the Infuse 4G launching on Rogers soon, so we’ll have a nice comparison up soon!!

So after months and months of teasing and waiting, Square Enix has finally announced when everyone can get their hands on the newest chapter of the popular Deus Ex series.

Deus Ex Human Revolution will be released on PC, PS3 and 360 on August 23/2011. Promising to be a worthy follow up to the cult hit there will be 2 different editions to be launched of the game. The regular edition will be $59.99 for consoles or $49.99 for PC and a limited edition will give a few extra goodies to the people who purchase it.

The special edition will be only $10 more on both consoles and PC and will include a bonus DVD that has a 44 minute the making of special, the Game soundtrack, a Motion Comic from DC’s series, and E3’s official trailer and animated storyboard and a 40 page Art Book.

Also if you pre-order the game at GameStop you get 4 exclusive downloads available at launch.

These include…

  1. A new mission with a special cameo from an original Deus Ex character
  2. M28 utility remote detonated explosives
  3. Linebacker G-87 multiple shot grenade launcher
  4. Automatic Unlocking Device

So who’s running out to pre-order it now?

Sony just officially announced the release date for the upcoming PS3 exclusive Infamous 2.

For those who have eagerly been waiting, the second chapter in Cole’s lightning filled life will be enough June 7, 2011!!

That’s right, only a few months away for those eagerly waiting to choose to be a good hero or an evil villian!

The limited Hero Edition for $99.99

With this announcement Sony has also announced the limited edition Hero version for $99.99, which will include a highly detailed 8.5” Cole MacGrath statue, a sportable sling pack modeled after Cole’s own in-game gear, the inFAMOUS #1 mini comic from DC  Comics, the official inFAMOUS 2 HERO Edition Soundtrack and a super voucher code for a collection of in-game content.

Sony has also announced the pre-order bonuses which will be another annoying split between 4 major retailers, meaning any Infamous 2 fans will  n0t be able to receive everything unless they want to buy the game 4 times… The special pre-orders are as follows…

Preorder from Amazon and get a gold version of his new Cattle Prod melee weapon...

Pre-order at Walmart and get a special lightning grenade that ties down nearby enemies!

Pre-order at BestBuy and get an exclusive Kellex skin from the first game...

Or pre-order from Gamestop and get a special in game power the lightning hook that will bring items or enemies shockingly close to you!!

Now the question is, who to pre-order from?

Sad news for everyone waiting for the Android powerhouse, the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate bound for Rogers soon, we’ve just spotted a change on the official rogers website showing that the preorder date which was supposed to end today has now been pushed to October 24th meaning a launch set for the 25th is not too far out of the question.

A phone launch on a Monday? Makes sense to us, are we happy about it? No, but we’ll have to continue playing the waiting game until Rogers is good and ready, alright everyone join us in our collective sigh and sit back to wait for the weekend to go by… At least this is one reason to actually look forward to a monday…. right guys?

So looks like the leaks have finally been confirmed, Rogers has just sent out an email to people that subscribed detailing that the Galaxy S Captivate can now be pre ordered from the Rogers website for $150 on a 3 year contract!!

As a special for pre ordering you get a bluetooth headset, no shipping fees and $10 off that pesky $35 activation fee! (as well get entered to win a samsung prize pack)

The site now says offer expires October 20th rather than the 16th meaning it may not launch until the 20th instead but this is still HUGE news!!
