Rogers is big company here in Canada. They range from Cellular service, to cable, internet, home phone and more recently Home Monitoring. It seems they’ve decided to now branch out either further introducing their new service Rogers Outrank.

Essentially what Outrank is, is a simple way for people with their own business’s to sign up and have a website created/managed by experts at Rogers. They will set the entire website up, optimize it for search engines/mobile phones and “turn clicks into customers”. All of this will then be backed by what they call a comprehensive tracking system that gives you powerful reporting at your finger tips.

Right now we don’t know much more than this but we’re inquiring into pricing and we’ll keep you up to date.

Also right now they have a promotion going on where if you sign up before January 31st you’ll get a free website.

Check out their promo video below and a few pictures, otherwise head on over and sign up at

Merry Christmas everyone out there!

Just thought we’d share a fun little Easter Egg we found using GoSMS on Android this past holiday.

If someone texts you “Merry Christmas” and you open the message using GoSMS you’ll notice it will start to snow on your screen! So even if it’s not a white Christmas outside for you, you can still enjoy the Holiday spirit on your phone!!

If you aren’t lucky enough to have an Android Phone (or don’t want to use GoSMS) you won’t be left out of the winter fun as we found another fun Google Easter egg recently that lets you frost over your screen with snow when you google search “Let It Snow”. Once the page becomes completely frozen the search button even becomes a “Defrost” button!!

Once again we hope you all had a wonderful Holiday and we wish you all the best in the new year! Remember keep checking back as we’ll begin updating a lot more frequently again!

All things considered, this didn’t take too long to get up and going. Google announced that they would be competing with the likes of companies like Netflix by offering their own movie rental system through the Android market and well today, it has gone live for all!

You can now choose between a fairly solid selection of new and older movies ranging anywhere between $2.99 to $4.99 in price. Once you purchase it you have 30 days to watch the movie and once you start watching the movie you have 48 hours to complete watching it.

All the movies are nicely sorted into sections that you can browse at your convenience including categories like Staff picks and most rented. So far looks like a pretty cool service, so who’s going to give it a try? Let us know in the comments!

You can also check them out from the online market here.

Just as a little proof that the Samsung Infuse 4G will be launching on Rogers very soon, the accessories have already started showing up in retail stores!

Don’t forget we’ll be attending the launch party for this bad boy tomorrow so check back for more details tomorrow night as we’ll have some hands on impressions!

Although they tweeted the release of the Galaxy S II less than a month ago, with it’s launch date drawing ever closer, SaskTel has finally released some pricing for the beast that Samsung Built.

They will be offering it for $79.99 on a 3 year contract with voice and data which is a lot cheaper than we were expecting so far. No word on outright price but hopefully soon we will hear more!! Keep checking back for updates!!!

UPDATE: Reading the fine print on the Bell contest webpage you will see it says “approximate retail value of $599.99” which would lead us to believe that the no contract price of the Galaxy S II will be $599.99!!

So we’ve all been waiting, and while this may not be the news you want to hear, Ma-Bell has officially dropped the bomb telling us they will be releasing the Samsung Galaxy S II in the coming weeks (So far Rogers and Telus have announced nothing). They will be calling it the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G in a move to try and promote their 4G network.

To celebrate this fact, bell is holding a contest where you can enter to win one of 10 here, the draw will be done on July 19th meaning the phone must be released by then at the latest, but previous rumours point to a July 14th release date.

So far there is no word on pricing but SaskTel recently announced their pricing for the Galaxy S II so check out our post here for that info.

As a quick recap of the Galaxy S II’s amazing specs we have: It’s equipped with a powerful 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and is designed to run at incredible maximum speeds of 21 Mbps. It’s a super-thin device with a 4.3″ Super AMOLED Plus display that delivers the highest level of colour vividness. It’s also has an 8 MP camera with flash and a 2 MP front-facing camera, plus a 1080p camcorder to capture and play back full HD.

Keep checking back for details, with a launch so soon we’re expecting word from the other big 2 any day now!

With the whole of North America looking at Samsung for answers as to when it’s newest greatest baby the Galaxy S II would hit NA shores, yesterday we were thrown a curveball from SaskTel, a Canadian wireless company that announced through it’s twitter feed that they would be releasing the Galaxy S II next month

@BrendonSled We will be launching the Samsung Galaxy S II device in the next month that has the dual core. ^KK

This comes as surprising news and makes us all hopeful that this means that the other Canadian carriers (Rogers, Telus, Bell) will all follow suit and release the Galaxy S II next month! It is expected to come in 3 different variants which we broke news about here if you missed it (Attain, Function and Within).

There’s no news as to which version SaskTel will be releasing but we’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled! Stay tuned!
