So the day has finally arrived, it is March 27th, 2011 and the Nintendo 3DS has finally arrived! Much to our surprise we have not seen any lines, or any big craze for this wonderful little piece of hardware, but we’ll have to see how things continue throughout the day. We were the first to pick up ours today and we thought we’d share the unboxing pictures with you all. We’ll give a full write up and video hands on a little later in the day but hopefully this will wet your appetite for now, and drop us a comment down below and let us know which one or if you’re getting one!

These can be bought for $250 at any major retailer (Walmart, EB/Gamestop, ToysRUs etc) and is the first handheld gaming system to integrate 3D directly in the device and not require any glasses!! It comes in two colours, aqua blue and onyx black, we thought we’d be adventurous and grab the aqua blue and boy does it sparkle!

So without further ado, here are the pictures!

There it is. We thought the blue would be cool!

Well we hope that will tide you over for now, we’ll have our full coverage on this later in the day!

So another new feature that will be hitting the new Nintendo 3DS’s are the ability to wirelessly play against anyone nearby yourself. This can both happen while playing a game, or while your 3DS is closed and just sitting idle. This is explained through a new video that’s popped up for the new Super Street Fighter game that’s coming up on the 3DS. Basically as you come near other players, the 3DS’s will battle automatically with your figure collections and every time you win you can earn more figures for your collection. Pretty crazy idea, let’s hope you live in a heavily populated area! Check out the video for more explanation!

One of the new features the Nintendo 3DS will be totting is the fact that it can now automatically create an awesome little Mii of yourself just by taking your picture, then after breaking out of a box you can select the one that looks most like you!! Check out the video to fully understand what we mean, man can we not wait till we get to try this!!!

Nintendo has finally announced the official release of it’s newest hand held. It will be shipping in Japan on February 26th for about $298 USD and then will be launched in the States and Europe in March for an unreleased amount. They demonstrated some new features with this announcement that we will cover in a separate post very shortly. It will be available in 2 colors at launch, Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black.

You won’t find Sony actually endorsing this commercial for the Move anywhere, but you can definitely tell it has a strong Sony Influence to it. Take the time to check it out as it’s pretty badass and definitely worth a watch and laughing at your Wii using friends.

Activision has finally let the cat out of the bag and all you die hard Bond fans can breathe a sigh of relief. For anyone wanting to play the NEW Goldeneye game coming out on the Wii without having to swing their arms around and recapture the original glory, they will be releasing a limited edition Golden Classis Controller for the Wii in a special edition box set of the game!

The game which is set to be released this November on the Wii is a look back at the classic and most arguably best Bond game created to date (back on the N64). This new iteration of the game isn’t an exact remake but based off the same story rewritten with Daniel Craig’s new take on Bond and a new look at all the old locations.

The game is set to come out in November prices at $49.99 or now announced $69.99 with the golden controller, no word on whether you can buy it separately or not.

Now who’s ready for some old school first person shooter action?
